Vitamin B & Booty Swing

Charleston by Lambi

Every time I hear Parov Stelar’s Booty Swing, a part of me wants to dance, while the lazier, more lethargic side would rather just sit and listen. Time to get some energy and swing!

So what’s the best way to get energy? This one is a tough one to answer. Usually energy levels depend on many different factors. Maybe you need more sleep or maybe you haven’t eaten enough. Or sometimes it can be something unexpected like a vitamin deficiency!

A great vitamin to take if you find your energy is lacking is vitamin B.

A lot of people reach for caffeine but if you don’t have enough water or the proper nutrition, caffeinated drinks probably won’t help very much. In fact, you’ll most likely feel more tired because your body is dehydrated! No wonder my university caffeine binges to get me through an all-nighter never really worked as well as I hoped!

Instead of caffeine, try reaching for vitamin B (through supplements or better nutrition) to get that energy boost. I like the quick summary for vitamin B from Webber Naturals:

Although each B vitamin has a unique role, they work together as coenzymes to metabolize food and to provide energy. The B vitamins support the nervous system, skin, eyes, liver, and mucous membranes, and enhance energy, muscle tone and gastrointestinal health.

Maybe after a bit of vitamin B, I’ll have more energy to get up and shuffle and swing! Have a listen and let me know what you think! I love how this old clip of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers fits so perfectly with this electro swing tune…
